I created this card for a shoe box swap with my fellow demonstrators. Every couple of months we try to get together and do a shoe box. Everyone brings a make & take for everyone to put together. It is a blast! and soooo much fun.
You can use this card as a decoration for your tree. I used Blackberry Bliss, one of my all time favorite in-colors. In addition, I used Silver glimmer paper and the silver foil paper. The snowflake embellishment in the center of the card can be found on page 22 of the holiday catty. I colored the rhinestone with a purple sharpie and adhered it to the snowflake with a glue dot. I adhered the snowflake to the foil star with glue dots also. Gotta love our glue dots, they are the best!
I love the new specialty DSP All is Calm on page 22 of the Holiday catty. The stamp set is Wondrous Wreath that has the matching framelits which you can bundle at a 15% discount. This is on page 9. The Glimmer red ribbon is also cut out with the framelits. However, the “joy” is from the Snowflake Card Thinlits found on page 22. I used our new in-color Lost Lagoon.
I took all the pictures of my class for WCMD with my iphone so they are not as detailed as I would have liked them to be. I am trying to adjust my Nikon so that I can take better pics with that camera. This is the front and inside of card. I used the set Bright & Beautiful, page 25 of the Holiday catalog and the matching Stars framelits found in the Big catalog on page 231. I also used our Sliver Glimmer paper and the silver foil paper along with the drop dead snowflake embellishments, page 22. They are so adorable. I added a candy dot to the center of the star embellishment.
I cut this snow flake out with the new Snowflake Card Thinlits Die found on page 22 of the Holiday catalog. I used shimmery card stock and the watercolor technique on the snowflake and Gold Soiree DSP for the background. I dyed the white organza ribbon with pacific point ink refill and used same color for the card base.
Now this stamp is from the set Bootiful Occasions, page 136 in the big catalog. You can use it for Halloween, summer, winter, or rainy days. I am so glad this set was carried over to the new catalog this year. It has always been one of my favs. I used Soft sky for the card base and highlights on the boot. The background is created using the Lucky Stars Textured Embossing folder and I used the Star embellishments from In color Sequin assortment.
I absolutely love this stamp set found on page 18 of the Holiday catalog. It is called Santa Stache. It coordinates with the mustache framelit die found in the Big catalog, page 230. This time I used the gold marker and gold foil card stock. I used the Noel framelit from the set Wonderful Wreath for the sentiment, even thou the stamp set itself has some great sentiments. In my opinion, I think the Holiday catalog is the best ever that SU has come out with. So many framelits to match stamps, and so many great sentiments with our stamps.
I made this card with the DSP paper stack, Trim the Tree found on page 7. In addition, I used some of the stitched stars from a previous paper pumpkin. I thought it went well with the paper and the focal point which is cut out with the framelit Star dies in the Big catalog page 231. If you surf the internet you will find so many creative items made with these framelits. I used the embossing folder, Lucky Stars page 30.
The nice thing about paper pumpkin is that you always have left overs after you make the projects to use on something else.
This single stamp has been really popular on the internet. If you remember the last time I posted it I did it in non-traditional Christmas colors. Well this time I used the traditional colors and used the beautiful DSP found on page 22. In addition I used the Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta ribbon, although my camera doesn’t do it justice, it does truly match the card in real life. Blaming it on the camera again. The sentiment is from Endless Wishes found on page 32.
I did use our aqua painters with our classic pads on Watercolor paper and our white gel pen for accent.
I sure used a lot of Glam on this card. Gold embossing, gold sequin trim along with the gold Fancy Foil DSP Vellum, gold foil card stock and metallic Gold card stock for the base card. WOW that’s a lot of GOLD!
The Stamp set is Cheerful Christmas found on page 15 of the Holiday catalog and the sentiment is from Endless Wishes on page 32. Do you remember last Christmas that Endless Wishes sold out in a matter of days. Well it was so popular that SU decided to bring it back and I am so glad they did. It is an awesome stamp set with beautiful fonts and images.
Ok you are wondering “How come Melon Mambo for Christmas” right? Well, I just wanted to switch it up a bit and also remind those of you that have not signed up for my class this Saturday, you still have time. Deadline is Thursday!
I water colored this with aqua painters using Melon Mambo, and Old Olive on water color paper. In addition, I used the white gel pen for effects. The sentiment is from the Project Life set, Holiday Cheer, found on page 35 of the Holiday catalog.
Are you thinking that you want to beat the rush this Holiday season, get your cards done early and out of the way so all you have to do is put the stamp on the envelope and shoot it in the mail box? Well, you can if you attend my Class on Sunday, the 30th of August. We will be making 5 different cards to get you started. We have the most beautiful stamps in this year’s Holiday catalog. If you are a regular you will be receiving one in the mail very shortly. If not, contact me here to get one. Registration required and seating is limited.
I will be posting some Christmas cards, in the following 2 weeks, before the class, so you can get an idea of some of the stamps we will be using (not necessarily the cards we will be making, but definitely some of the stamps).
I created this card from the stamp set “Best of November”. I certainly have gotten my money’s worth from that set. I especially love this vintage Santa. I used watercolor paper and lightly tinted the background with Soft Sky to bring out the white in Santa’s beard. I used designer paper Modern Medley, one of my favorites from the big catalog. The sentiment if from the Photopolymer set ‘Christmas Tagables’.
I am so disappointed in how this card photographed. I have got to learn how to use that stupid camera……yes it’s not me! I thought I was buying a camera that was automatic, I sure paid enough for it. Maybe I should sign up for photography classes at one of the schools. Anyway, this is stamped on Crumb Cake card stock believe it or not and the set used is Endless Wishes. I am also sorry to say that if you did not order that set when it was first released, then you are out of luck. I guess you can try and get it on ebay or if someone is selling theirs. I am hopeful that when SU finally puts our polymer stamps in the new catalog, that they will include this set. I think we have shown Su that we love photpolymer stamps by how they are selling out of them.
Except for the ribbon & Brads, everything on this card comes from the POP & PLACE HOLIDAY GIFT TAGS BOOK $9.95 ALONG WITH THE STAMP SET (19 STAMPS) CHRISTMAS TAGABLES, $13.95. You can get both the an assortment of tags, the stamp set, a soft suede stamping spot and a clear block ‘C’ for $24.95. Just use the item# 135290 if ordering the entire bundle on line. I can also take your order if you would rather buy them separately. Contact me HERE.
The design of this card comes from the instructions you get with the November Paper Pumpkin. I love it! I have also created some cards below with the same set only I arranged the stars, etc a little differently, just to mix them up a bit. So much fun to play with. I have tons of stars left over and I will be using them on other cards I create. Did I say I love it!
This was another card we made at this months clubs. Everyone loved it. I got the idea from another demonstrator on Stampin’ Connection (gallery for SU Demonstrators) Billie Moan. I changed it up a bit and I thank you Billie for the inspiration. The stamp set is Joyful Christmas and can be found on page 27 of the Holiday catalog. I used Baked Brown Sugar DSP and Early Espresso.
I love this stamp set Santa’s List (pg 31 Holiday catalog) because he is so vintage looking and y’all know how I love Vintage. I used soft suede and blossom blush on our Santa and Sweater Weather DSP. I also used soft sky card stock. The sentiment is from Oh, Goodie found on page 32 in the Holiday catalog. If you were a member of one of my clubs, you got to make this card this month.
This little cutie we are making at our Wednesday morning club. I got the idea for this from a posting I saw in Stamping Connection by Delia Kettel a fellow demonstrator from Germany. Thank you Delia for the inspiration.
Who wouldn’t love to receive a Christmas gift wrapped in this little bag? The Gift Bow Bigz Die #129977 can be found on page 37 of the Holiday catalog. Can’t stop making these bows, they are so awesome!
This stamp set is part of a bundle you can buy on page 30 in the Holiday catalog. You can get both the stamp set and the coordinating framelits that cut them out for you for 15% off the price if you buy them together in the bundle. I used the silver foil card stock, the silver glimmer paper and the gorgeous Frosted finishes embelishments on page 28. So pretty!
This is one of those cards that is so easy to put together, but looks like you spent a lot of time on it. I used the set Remembering Christmas on page 28 of the Holiday Catalog. I used the Big Shot with the Apothecary Accents to cut out the frame for the Deer. The DSP is from Season of Style Paper Stack, also in the Holiday catalog on page 22.
If you saw yesterday’s posting, you read where I love using this mosaic embossing folder for the background. I really love it on this card. You can get a really terrific deal on this stamp set and the punch that goes with it. On page 35 of the Holiday catalog, there is a little block colored in Pool Party that shows you how you can save 15% by purchasing the bundle. I wasn’t going to buy this set but I saw so much of it being used on the internet that I caved and bought it! Talk about will power, right?
This is my all time favorite SANTA stamp that SU has ever created. I am so happy they brought it back in “The Best of Christmas” set. I couldn’t wait to start coloring it. I used watercolor paper, our classic ink pads, and the aqua painter. So much fun! I used Pool party to fill in the background so you could see his while beard. Hope you like it!
I created this card with the “Best of Christmas” stamp set. You can get these sets until March 2014 and then they will be gone. If you purchase at least 6 of ‘The Best’ of Sets you can get any stamp set in either catalog valued at 14.95 or below. They are stamps that are being brought back because of SU’s 25th Anniversay. I love that I remember so many of these stamps and how much I like them. Unfortunately I didn’t keep most of them because I try to sell all my retired sets every year. So when they started this ‘Best of’ I jumped right on it. Contact ME to find out more.
We have new Holiday stamps that are sold separately and this sentiment is one of them. I used the beautiful DSP, Winter Frost Specialty (page 29 in the Holiday Catalog). It is hard to see in this photo but both designs have that silvery background. I also use our new Silver Foil sheets (page 28) to back the sentiment. I think that, along with Island Indigo ink, sets off the entire card.
Hey all, Sarah Webb here! I have been a product designer at Stampin’ Up! for a little over six months, now. When I started working here back in March, my first assignments were for the annual catalog 2014.
Have you seen our new 6X6 DSP card packs in the Holiday catalog? We have 2 different ones this year filled with beautiful Christmas designed paper. The one I used today on this card is found on page 22, called Season of Style. I also used our beautiful Chevron ribbon. I made the ornament with the Mosaic punch found on page 80 of the big catalog and the embossing folder is Petals a Plenty. The sentiment is from Seasonal Sayings.
I love the sentiment on this stamp set. It is on page 27 in the Holiday catalog. I used the marker technique on this and used Real Red,Black Stazon and Gumball Green. I used the new embossing folder, Stylish Stripes, page 22 in the Holiday catalog. In addition, I used the little banner in the thinlets collection for “little”.
