A lot of Big shot items are used on this card, Autumn Accents Die page 232, and from the Holiday catalog, Feather Framelits dies, page 42 and Wonderous Wreath framelits, page 9. I used the baby wipe techniques with our re-inkers on this card.

Sentiment on this card is from the Holiday catalog, Mingle all the way, page 17. The background is from the Big Catalog, Hardwood, page 175 and the Autumn Accents die cut leaves are also from the Big catalog on page 232. Will be wrapping up the Thanksgiving cards and projects this week because we are getting down to the wire for purchasing supplies for that Holiday. You still have time but you have to hurry!

We made this at club last night. We also made 2 3D items, a shaker card and a Christmas Ornament for the tree. Great fun and so many laughs. Belonging to a club is fantastic! You not only get to make neat projects, on a monthly basis, but what really sets it apart is the life time relationships you develop by sharing what you love to do with others. I used the set Festival of Trees, page 24 of the Holiday catalog.

About a year-and-a-half ago, Stampin’ Up! announced a new contest inviting all stampers, demonstrators and non-demonstrators, to put on their creative caps and submit a design for a monster-themed set. You all might remember my sweet friend, Doris, and her winning Monster Maniacs set? 🙂 I loved the set and didn’t mind being the runner-up to her creation. So when Shelli announced at convention that year that there would be another contest, I knew I wanted to try again!
As my mother and I drove back to Vegas from our first convention, we brainstormed all sorts of sayings and phrases that we thought would make a great stamp set. When I went back to work, I couldn’t help but doodle here and there. I would draw something, take a picture, and send it to my mom and she’d say yes or no. (She was my upline at the time so I figured she knew what would work. After all, mother knows best!)
One night I was rocking our middle son to sleep and saw the Bible verse I had painted on a canvas to match his spaceship-themed room. “Shine like stars in the universe”–one of my favorite verses of scripture. That’s when I decided I wanted to do a scripture set. I sat down and thought of a few that I felt would not only look great on a card but would reach someone who needed to be lifted up.
I was in the Air Force for nine years. All nine years were spent far from family, and even a few months were in the Middle East–away from my husband and our 7-month-old son. Nothing helped more than the scripture verses my mom or dad or my church family would write on my cards. In fact, I still have a scrap of paper with a verse that my dad sent me while I was in basic training.
There’s something special about making a card for someone and I wanted these Banner Blessings to make it even more special! Thank you, Stampin’ Up!, for the opportunity, and thanks to everyone for their support! I hope you enjoy the set as much as I have already! 🙂
Holly Stene

Creating a fun table setting for Thanksgiving is easy as pie when you make cute, little drumstick favors using our Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags!
Create the frill using a 3-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla Designer Series Paper. Fold and cut every 1/2″.
I fluffed it up a bit by wrapping it around a Stampin’ Write Marker.

Twist the gift bag shut, tie with ribbons, and wrap the frill around the top.

We’d love to hear your creative ideas for Thanksgiving table settings! Tell us about them—or send us a link to a picture!

No matter your project, the new Project Life December Wonder Stamp Set is fun to use! I love all of the elements and words in this set. The combination of word and images also makes this set really versatile.
One thing I love to do when I create is to infuse some non-traditional Christmas colors for a really unique look. The colors I used on these projects are: Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, and Whisper White. What do you think of rich purple as a Christmas color? I like it!
I hope you’ve had a chance to look at all of the fun new things offered in our holiday supplement. Don’t miss these additional holiday items!

This card was created using the stamp set Cheerful Christmas found on page 15 of the Holiday catalog. The colors I used were Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow. This is also another card we made at one of my stamp camps. The ribbon on the bottom of the card is also Lost Lagoon. However, my photography skills for some reason makes it look like a different color in this photo. Maybe its my lighting……..

A friend of mine decided one year that she couldn’t wait for Christmas to send out her yearly card to family and friends—so she sent a Thanksgiving card instead! I loved getting a card from their family early in the holiday season, and it inspired me this year to make some Thanksgiving cards of my own.
Want to take the challenge with me? Before the family football game, before the turkey, before the pumpkin pie—let’s make and send a card to someone special before Thanksgiving—and let them know how grateful we are for them!

I love giving gifts in pretty packages! It is definitely one of my trademarks. I love to present a gift to someone and watch their face light up when they see how pretty the packaging is! It’s like another gift in and of itself.
Christmas is the perfect time to create some pretty packages! I decided to go with a Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, and Gold color combo. Yes—that’s right! Mix your whites and creams! You can achieve a layered look with your projects simply by using those two colors together.

The Takeout Boxes are darling! They are the perfect size for a small gift or box of yummy treats. I used the White Filter Paper to create a belly band around the box. I scrunched it up and sewed it down the middle to keep it gathered. I added some interest to my star die cut by using the Eclectic Paper-Piercing Pack to outline a few stars within the shape. This is an easy way to add detail.

I used the Gift Card Enclosure Pack to create a little box. This technique was demonstrated to us at convention. Simply brilliant!! You score at 1/2″ from the original score line along three sides. Secure the flaps using Sticky Strip and add a belly band to help contain your goodies. I used the Festive Designer Kraft Paper Rolls for my belly band. I LOVE these paper rolls! The quality is excellent—much thicker than I thought they would be.

My last pretty package was created using the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Die. This die creates the perfect little enclosure for a gift card. I used the Kraft Cardstock for my base and then I began creating a pretty belly band using the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper to keep it closed. The belly band simply slides on and off.

I love using the Kraft color as a base for my projects—especially for pretty packages!

Not too soon to be thinking of the Christmas Holidays with family and friends. We have made it easy for you this year.
I cased this card from another demonstrator on Stampin’ Connection but I can’t remember who this talented stamper is. If you know who the original designer is please let me know so I can giver her credit. We created the background with a block stamped in Sahara Sand. The tree is stamped in Mossy Meadow as is the sentiment from Good Greetings. Such a pretty card and so clean and simple.

I went outside the box (forgive the pun), and made these cards using some of our other embellishments (not in the kit) just to show you the diversification of this kit. It is loaded with great ideas already but if you want to do something other than what is shown on the instructions, it is easy to do. Everything is included in this kit and the only thing you will need is adhesive. It even contains dimensionals. Contact me here to find out more.

I cased this ornament from Ilina Crouse, a very creative demonstrator. I did change mine around a little but the main idea is from Ilina. This, believe it or not, was not as much work as it looks. I guess the hardest time I had with it was keeping it glued together long enough so the glitter and flakes stayed put. I apologize for the reflection of light on the top of the bulb but that is almost impossible to remove while photographing. I think I could have had better luck if I shot the picture outside in daylight. The backgound in the bulb is stamped with the set White Christmas.

If you came to my camp yesterday you would have made this card along with other projects geared for the Holidays. These trees are embossed with various embossing folders from the gold foil card stock. To save as much card stock as possible the gold layer under the Night of navy with the trees was used to punch out the 3 trees. Then embossed. There was still enough of foil card stock left to slide under the Night of Navy layer. Sentiment if from the hostess set Good Greetings.

I made this card using the baby wipe technique. The sentiment stamp is from the set Seasonally scattered, page 43 of the Holiday catty. The leaves are die cut from the Bigz die Autumn Elements. The technique involves layering several baby wipes together and dropping different colors of ink refills onto the baby wipe until it is saturated with many colors. The you take your stamp and stamp on the baby wipes to leave a beautiful sentiment with many fall colors. Hope you like it.

I love when I can use a stamp set for more than one occasion. I thought I’d share some different ways to use Fall Fest throughout the fall season . . . and beyond!
First of all, here’s a card to show your gratitude. For the pumpkins, I used a rock and roll technique with three ink colors (Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, and Pumpkin Pie), then spritzed water on the stamp before stamping on Watercolor Paper. Then, I used the coordinating Framelits set to cut out each image. I used the same faux watercolor technique on the leaves using Mossy Meadow ink. I can’t seem to get enough of this technique. It never looks the same twice and that’s what I love about it—it’s one of a kind!

Now, let’s get you ready for Halloween. Using the jack-o-lantern faces, I added a face to my little ghost using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the large White Filter Paper circle. (No cutting required!) I finished it off with a little bit of Basic Black Baker’s Twine—so simple and so cute. This would make a fun classroom treat.

The last project I made was inspired by my home. I love to decorate for the seasons and recently found some blue-green pumpkins that look great in my home. I added some gold accents to dress them up a bit. (I got the blue-green look through a combination of stamping off and rock and roll.) This one took a little bit of trial and error and it never turned out the same twice. Play around with some stamps, ink, and paper to see what you can create!

Enjoy!

This month’s photopolymer release, Gentle Peace (item #139523), was designed by our ever-amazing lead illustrator, Kathy Pitt. We heard your feedback asking for a religious Christmas stamp set, and she created this incredible imagery along with some wonderful inside/outside sentiments.
This set was designed to work with Blendabilities to create the effect of brightly- colored stained glass. We have to give a shout-out to Terri Allen for her masterful coloring of this stained glass window. With some simple embossing, the set also works well as line art if you need to make several cards quickly.
We hope you’ll enjoy this stamp set!

I don’t think I am ever going to use up all of the items in this kit. There is so much. All you really need to do is add your card base, stamp, add embellishments and you are good to go. I can’t wait to see what is in the October PP. I understand it will be something to do with Thanksgiving. Should be coming any day now and I am super excited.

Another really cute embellishment received with this kit was the little clothes pins, and so many of them.

When you order these journals (page 200) you get two and they make great gifts. They are 3 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ so they fit nicely in your purse or pocket. I covered the journal with our DSP Flashback found on page 186 and embellished it with some of our rhinestones which I colored with a black sharpie. So much fun to decorate! OOPS! just realized I spelled Stampin’Up! wrong on my watermark……bummer!

I had so much left over in this last month’s Paper Pumpkin, I decided to make a few cards. The only thing I added was our new Washi Tape, found on page 41 of the Holiday catalog. Our Paper Pumpkin Kits are so versatile now. This one set not only contained supplies enough to create 6 beautiful bags but 9 stamps so that you have a large variety of Halloween stamps to choose from.

This next card I used the White and Tangerine Tango two-tone Trim found on page 45. I made the fringe by separating the two colors and then blending them together.
Here is another card using the For All Things set. The inks I used are soft Sky, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey. In addition, card stock used was Whisper White, Mossy Meadow and Soft Sky. You can find this set on page 41 of the Holiday catalog. The twine is our burlap ribbon shredded. I like using it because it is a little thicker than our linen thread. I used the Note Tag Punch on page 13, to cut out the sentiment.
