I got the idea for this card from a video posted by SU demonstrator, Daleen Pinder. She used the Border Score guide that comes with the new Simply Scored Border Plate, to draw the line from the butterfly. Although she demonstrated a technique on her card, I changed it a bit using punches and vellum CS on mine. Hope you like it.
You can find these gorgeous boxes on page 25 of the Spring catalog. It is such a deal. The entire kit includes 8 die cut boxes that you can design any way you want. Everything you need is included. All you need is adhesive, it even comes with dimensionals. Here are some of the designs I created with four of them.
The little box ideal size for giving a gift card. Little printed note cards are perfect for writing that little personal message inside with the gift card.
With graduations coming up what better way to give that special person a gift for the future. $7.95 for the kit. Contact me to get this kit.
We will be making this as our 3D project for Stamp camp this month on the 16th. I have changed the date because I wanted y’all to be able to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration which ends on March 22nd this year. Hope to see you there. Space is limited so registration is required. Thanks to Patricia Giesbrecht, a Stampin’ Demonstrator for this idea.
This card was made with the canvas shown in our spring catalog on page 21. I love stamping on canvas……however, what I probably won’t try to do again on canvas, is water color the image….talk about labor intensive…..I wasn’t going to post this, but then again I spent so much time on it that I needed to post it, just to get some satisfaction for my time. LOL
If you will note that I stamped the image with black stazon because I wanted to water color it. But I stamped the sentiment in basic gray classic ink using a marker and was really surprised in how clear the sentiment came out. In addition, I love these new buttons, on page 20, because you can use the thicker ribbon with them.
Of course you know everything used on this card is either from the Spring mini or SAB. The gorgeous flowers come in the Artisan Embellishment kit found on page 10 of the Spring catalog. You can make tons of cards from this little kit just by adding the card stock. You don’t even need a stamp if you want to use the LOVE in it. LOL
Such a buy for $9.95.
These little pinwheels were made with a new sizzlits die found on page 32 of the Spring catalog. Just so stinkin cute!
I also used the January Best of birthdays stamp set with it. Don’t forget to get in on the “best of sets” for our 25th anniversary. For every 6 sets you purchase, you can get a free set valued up to $14.95 in any of our current catalogs. You have until April of 2014 to cash in. Watch for our monthly offers.
My sister’s birthday is today and she has subscribed to this blog so I thought I would surprise her and give her a hey…..just in case I forget to send out her card! OOPS! I just realized that this is a sympathy card….oh well Judy, I guess the older we get the less happy we feel about birthdays.LOL
I tried embossing in white on the very vanilla background to give it a little contrast. Hope you like it.
We will be traveling back to SC soon so in case I haven’t had a chance to update my blog, please hang in there and check back with me.
This is so cool. It is a die that you use in your BS to create this pop up stand up card. The first picture of course is the front of the card and the second picture is when you open it up it reveals the cutest dress form. You can get the framelits dies and the “All Dressed Up” stamp set for 20% off.
The card base can be used with other magnetic dies and is separate, as is the dress form Pop ‘n Cuts. Contact me if you want to see how this is done.
I actually bought this stamp set “You Rule!” to use on a 3D project that I was making for the Artisan Design Team. However, after I bought it and used it how I wanted to in my project, I changed my mind and went with something else. That ever happen to you? You have something in your mind that you want to make and when you put it together, it’s a bust! Oh well, it didn’t go unused, I like the way it goes with this set “Clockworks”.
WOW! Try saying that time 3 times fast! I made this card using the Canvas that is on page 21 of the Spring catalog. I used the watercolor crayons and an aqua painter to blend the background. This technique was demonstrated on Stampin’ Connection by Glenda Calkins, another SU demonstrator. I then frayed all four edges of the canvas adding another dimension.
You can get this embossing folder FREE when you purchase $50 in merchandise now through March 22nd. If you need a SAB brochure please contact me.
I used to make these baby memory cans for people that I worked with and sell them for $35. It included the can with all the baby firsts, the poem, the can opener, matching pen and milestone cards for them to write on. They told me they were always the “Hit of the baby shower”.
In addition, I included a 3″x3″ gift card and a very vanilla bracket to personalize the baby’s name on the top of the can. However, the last 2 years I have turned this project over to my Daughter Maureen, who is also a demonstrator. This memory can below is made by her.
You will also note that I made the little Tooth Fairy box out of our button and brads containers for an additional fee. All of the stamps that I used for these were from 2000 and 2004 (all retired). The tooth Fairy stamp was just a couple of years ago I believe but also retired. These are all stamp sets that I could never part with. They are so versatile. I would love your comments about these memory cans. Hugs, Patti
