Some of the items on this card are from Sale-a-brations so I won’t tell you what they are, I will just let you guess. That is going to be released at the end of January and you will be able to get tons of free stuff in February and March. The background stamp “Hardwood” is in the new occasions mini and will be ready for purchase on the 1st of January. Some of the other stamp sets I used on this card is gorgeous grunge and the Open Sea (two of my all time favs).
Another sneek peek from the new mini. I love anything watercolor and this stamp set is perfect for that. I am not sure what kind of flower this is but I thought it looked a little like cotton, that is why my flowers are white. I wish SU would name what the flowers are in the sets. I have never been a gardener so maybe some of you with green thumbs out there know what kind of flower this is and you can comment. Also, let me know what color they are supposed to be. Had fun again using my new stuff. Lots more to come.
This is a new set from the Occasions catalog that will be out in January 2014. It is actually an Easter stamp but I left off the sentiment. I used watercolor paper and our new washi tape. Cool isn’t it? The twine is from the SAB catalog to be relased the end of January. I know Christmas isn’t here yet but I just had to play with my new toys.
Hah! I know we haven’t finished Christmas yet and here I am thinking Valentine’s Day. Well that is what we do when we are demonstrators. We have to think ahead so you will be ready for your family and friends when that holiday approaches.
Did I tell you how much I love what I do? Well to make doing this even more fun, guess what I got to do yesterday? I pre-ordered all my stuff from the new catty to be released on January 1st. It is the BEST EVER! No kidding, SU has outdone themselves once again. I can’t show you the catty yet, but I can start creating projects made with the stuff in that book, so watch for it. The heart below is from the Hostess set in the Holiday catty, page 39.
We celebrated our annual Christmas dinner with downline and sidelines last night at Zeus’ Restaurant in Mount Pleasant, where we reserve a private room. We always do a swap, where everyone designs a card (anything but Christmas) and we exchange cards. We make enough of that one card so everyone gets to take home a card. That is one way we get to see everyone’s fresh takes on sets from the current catalogs and hopefully, pass them on to you.
We also do a Chinese exchange, that is a blast, demonstrate new techniques or old ones that we may have forgotten about, and have a grand time. You can be part of this group too if you like getting together with others that love what they do and share what they like. To join my team, contact me here.
This is my swap this year. I used the single stamp, Fishin’ around, on page 58, and the sentiment is from Yippee Skippy on page 37. Hope you like it!
Very soon (the time is just flying by) we will be ringing out the old and ringing in the new. This set, Happy Hour, from the Big catalog can help you do that. It really lends itself to celebrating, no matter what….. I used a color that I do not often use for this card, Wisteria Wonder. I am not a big Purple fan but I do like the way it turned out on this project. What do you think?
I am in the mood to start creating other cards besides Christmas and this is the best stamp set for water coloring. I love the lined images. So cute too with all the darling animals. Storybook Friends can be found in the Big catalog on page 52. I also used our Halloween DSP from the Holiday catalog, Witches Brew, page 21.
My daughter Mo has classes with some of her friends that have subscribed to My Paper Pumpkin. For last month’s PP she really went outside the box with this kit and created this little organizational note board to hang on her fridge. So cute!
IN CASE YOU DON’T GET MY EMAILS, PLEASE SEE THE 12 DAYS OF HOLIDAY SAVINGS TO THE RIGHT OF THIS POSTING.
This was another card we made at this months clubs. Everyone loved it. I got the idea from another demonstrator on Stampin’ Connection (gallery for SU Demonstrators) Billie Moan. I changed it up a bit and I thank you Billie for the inspiration. The stamp set is Joyful Christmas and can be found on page 27 of the Holiday catalog. I used Baked Brown Sugar DSP and Early Espresso.
I love this stamp set Santa’s List (pg 31 Holiday catalog) because he is so vintage looking and y’all know how I love Vintage. I used soft suede and blossom blush on our Santa and Sweater Weather DSP. I also used soft sky card stock. The sentiment is from Oh, Goodie found on page 32 in the Holiday catalog. If you were a member of one of my clubs, you got to make this card this month.
This little cutie we are making at our Wednesday morning club. I got the idea for this from a posting I saw in Stamping Connection by Delia Kettel a fellow demonstrator from Germany. Thank you Delia for the inspiration.
Who wouldn’t love to receive a Christmas gift wrapped in this little bag? The Gift Bow Bigz Die #129977 can be found on page 37 of the Holiday catalog. Can’t stop making these bows, they are so awesome!
This stamp set is part of a bundle you can buy on page 30 in the Holiday catalog. You can get both the stamp set and the coordinating framelits that cut them out for you for 15% off the price if you buy them together in the bundle. I used the silver foil card stock, the silver glimmer paper and the gorgeous Frosted finishes embelishments on page 28. So pretty!
I used the painter’s tape technique on this card and love the way it turned out. Colors I used were Crisp Cantalope, Pistachio Pudding, and Soft Sky. This technique is so popular right now, it’s not hard to look on any paper crafting site without seeing it. I think this stamp set really lends itself to this technique.
Okay, today I am back from visiting my little girl, Mary Pat, and her parents in TN. She is my only grandchild, so far.
When I stamped this card with the states I thought about going half way across the country, and that would be to Houston for Leadership in January. I never thought to use it for TN. I think from now on whenever I am going to be out of town I will post this stamp so you can know where I am at all times. You know that with an email HERE you can reach me anytime no matter where I am. These photopolymer stamps are not in the catalogs but you can get a flyer on all of them that SU releases from me.
This is one of those cards that is so easy to put together, but looks like you spent a lot of time on it. I used the set Remembering Christmas on page 28 of the Holiday Catalog. I used the Big Shot with the Apothecary Accents to cut out the frame for the Deer. The DSP is from Season of Style Paper Stack, also in the Holiday catalog on page 22.
If you saw yesterday’s posting, you read where I love using this mosaic embossing folder for the background. I really love it on this card. You can get a really terrific deal on this stamp set and the punch that goes with it. On page 35 of the Holiday catalog, there is a little block colored in Pool Party that shows you how you can save 15% by purchasing the bundle. I wasn’t going to buy this set but I saw so much of it being used on the internet that I caved and bought it! Talk about will power, right?
This is my all time favorite SANTA stamp that SU has ever created. I am so happy they brought it back in “The Best of Christmas” set. I couldn’t wait to start coloring it. I used watercolor paper, our classic ink pads, and the aqua painter. So much fun! I used Pool party to fill in the background so you could see his while beard. Hope you like it!
I created this card with the “Best of Christmas” stamp set. You can get these sets until March 2014 and then they will be gone. If you purchase at least 6 of ‘The Best’ of Sets you can get any stamp set in either catalog valued at 14.95 or below. They are stamps that are being brought back because of SU’s 25th Anniversay. I love that I remember so many of these stamps and how much I like them. Unfortunately I didn’t keep most of them because I try to sell all my retired sets every year. So when they started this ‘Best of’ I jumped right on it. Contact ME to find out more.
We have new Holiday stamps that are sold separately and this sentiment is one of them. I used the beautiful DSP, Winter Frost Specialty (page 29 in the Holiday Catalog). It is hard to see in this photo but both designs have that silvery background. I also use our new Silver Foil sheets (page 28) to back the sentiment. I think that, along with Island Indigo ink, sets off the entire card.
What awesome cards you can make with the EVERYDAY OCCASIONS kit. I made these two cards, yeah, I didn’t follow the rules. Although, all the directions are indicated on all 20 cards for you to make them as the samples that they have posted in the kit, you can also go outside the box and do your own thing. That is what I meant by not following the rules..LOL There is over $50 worth of card making joy for just $29.95. See below or contact ME to find out more and to get the flyer.
We making this card in my Friday night Hostess Club. It is made with the Truly Grateful found on page 19 in the Holiday catalog. In addition, I used the Stamp set Wonderfall found in the big catalog on page 84. I used Tangerine Tango, crushed curry and Soft Suede. I shredded the burlap ribbon for my focal point and tied it with Linen Thread.
This is not your Mama’s Paper Pumpkin! I went outside the box with these two cards. While the card that is designed to make with MPP is cool, I just thought I would change it around a bit. You get a Midnight Muse ink spot with the kit but I also incorporated Gumball Green with it. I also used our new Chevron punch.
Hey all, Sarah Webb here! I have been a product designer at Stampin’ Up! for a little over six months, now. When I started working here back in March, my first assignments were for the annual catalog 2014.
The sentiment on this card is from the awesome set “Chalktalk”! I used the feathers from the stamp set “Gently Falling” on page 65 in the big catalog and trimmed to give them that feathered look. Easy peasey! Feathers are very popular this year and I love how they look with our new incolors, don’t you? Would love if you left me your comment at the bottom of this post. I love hearing from y’all on what you think of my creations.
Have you seen our new 6X6 DSP card packs in the Holiday catalog? We have 2 different ones this year filled with beautiful Christmas designed paper. The one I used today on this card is found on page 22, called Season of Style. I also used our beautiful Chevron ribbon. I made the ornament with the Mosaic punch found on page 80 of the big catalog and the embossing folder is Petals a Plenty. The sentiment is from Seasonal Sayings.
This card was made by cutting out our DSP Sweater Weather with the Big shot Autumn Accents Bigz Die found on page 192 in the big catalog. I then glued them on a 5 1/4″ X 4″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through the big shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. I used the stamps for the sentiment from the Truly Grateful set in the Holiday catalog on page 19, and finished off the sentiment with our absolutely COOL CANDY DOTS and brads found on page 171. Don’t you love how it just sets off the entire card?
