I love this sentiment, it reminds me of watching Christmas cartoons with my kids. The sentiment is from the set, “Christmas Means More”, pg 29 MC, stamped with Memento Black. The Images are from the set “Coming Home”, pg 26 MC. I used our Blends to color the images, Old Olive, So Saffron, Real Red, Granite Gray, Soft Suede, and Mango Medley. Card Stock is Whisper White on Basic black and base card is Thick Whisper White.
Well everyone, it appears that my eye surgery went well and I am very grateful for the good doctor that performed the removal of my cataracts and then replaced the lens in my eyes so I could see without glasses again. It is amazing how you can see immediately after the surgery. Technology is so awesome!
Fortunately, I found an old pair of Readers that I can use to see up close until my next appointment with her when she determines what exact strength I will need. I want to thank all of you for your beautiful hand made cards and especially your prayers and understanding while going through this. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful friends. Love and hugs to all of you.
This is another card we created for our Wednesday morning club. I used the suite “Whale of a Time”, pg 94-96 and the DSP, Whale of a Time. This DSP is so awesome and you can create several cards with it. I just love it.
Here I stamped the images in Misty Moonlight and Poppy Parade, along with the sentiment. The cute little turtle is cut out (fussy cut) from the DSP. However, there are images in this DSP that can be punched out with the coordinating punch. The entire suite can be bundled with a 10% discount. You can opt to just purchase the stamp set and punch, as a bundle for 10% off also. I mounted this on a card base of Balmy Blue Card Stock. You can see this entire suite here.
I created this card with the sets “Have a Hoot”, pg 62 MC and “Festive Corners”, pg 66MC. Card stock used was Very Vanilla and Basic Black. Inks used were Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Medley and Soft Suede Blends.
I used our stamparatus, pg 164 AC to center the cobweb corners. This is an incredible tool for perfect alignment of images and sentiments. Go HERE to see products.
Hello Everyone,
Today is my second cataract surgery. After that they will put in the new lens and I will not need to wear glasses again. Yippee!
However, I will still need to wear “Readers” as I am not a candidate for that surgery, because of Macular Degeneration. Don’t get me wrong, I am very appreciative of being able to see far away again. Actually, I am blessed to be able to see at all.
I always have plenty of readers available, from years ago, that I have kept. They come in handy when my friends, customers, and family, forget theirs. LOL.
I may not post again for a while, but will be back at as soon as possible. Stay safe and keep stamping!
Hugs, Patti
If you were in my Wednesday morning club, this would be one of the cards you would be making. I used the Stitched Leaves Dies, pg 49 MC on Very Vanilla CS. I layered it on a piece of Shimmery White CS which I washed with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Real Red ink pads. I rubbed the pads on a craft mat and spritzed with plain water and then ran the card stock over the inks to produce a beautiful wash. That is what you see under the stitched leaves. Every card is different because all the inks absorb into the CS differently.
I used the new Banners Pick A Punch, pg 65 MC, on Pumpkin Pie CS and stamped the sentiment, From the set “Banner Year”, same page, in Tangerine Tango. The wooden embellishments are from the ‘In Good Tastes Elements’, pg 158 AC. The base card is Thick Very Vanilla CS. You can see these products here.

Go HERE to see catalogs if you do not have one yet. If you want the annual Catalog (AC) or the Mini (MC) please contact me to get yours.
This has to be one of my favs in the new annual catalog (AC). You can find both the stamp set “Nothing’s Better Than” and the Matching dies,”Love you More Than” on pg 91 AC. You can get them bundled at 10% discount. Both are so versatile. As you can see, from previous posts, I have already made several cards with this set and dies.
On this card I used Just Jade and Whisper White Card stock. I Embossed the Whisper White with the folder, Subtle 3D, pg 185. I stamped the candy with Early Espresso and I colored them with Ivory, and soft Suede Blends. I also added Crystal Effects, no longer available through Stampin’Up!©. However, I have seen where some demos are using the Fine Tip Glue pen, pg 162, to get the same effects. Visit here to see more.
I created another card with the set, Peaceful Nativity, and the matching Nativity dies, pg 17 MC. I used the DSP, Ornate Garden Specialty, pg 149 AC. I cut the Palm trees out with Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow card stock. The background is Very vanilla and the base card is Soft Suede.
The Blends I used are Pool Party, Seaside Spray, So Saffron, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, and Granite Gray. The star embellishments are from All The Trimmings, pg 25 MC. The sentiment is layered on Gold Foil from a die cut out with Little Treats Box dies, pg 70 MC.
I designed this card for this month’s SUO Challenge, “Anything Goes”. Hope y’all like it.
I love the new DSP Plaid Tidings, pg 57 MC, which I used on this card. The stamp set and dies are from the Plaid Tidings Suite, pls 56-58. The dies, Celebration Labels are to die for.
The base card is thick Whisper White and the DSP is layered on Pumpkin Pie. I used blends, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce, Bumblebee, and Soft Suede. The Images are stamped on Regular Whisper White with Memento Black ink. I embellished the bottom of the card with the new in-color Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots.
I think this is one of the most beautiful stamp sets, “Peaceful Nativity”, pg 17 MC, that has come out for the Holidays. On this card, I used Shimmery White Card Stock. I did a watercolor wash with Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight. I then splattered white craft ink, mixed with a little water, on the background to resemble snow. I white embossed the sentiment. The base card is Thick Whisper White.
Other Blends I used to color the images were Calypso Coral, Seaside Spray, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, So Saffron, and Petal Pink. Look for lots more cards created with this set and the dies. Right now you can get both the bundle of stamps and dies with a 10% discount. Go HERE to see more.
These little treat holders are made with the Little Treat Box Dies, pg 70 MC. They are so easy to make. I highly recommend them for all your holiday treat giving.
I used Basic Black and Rich Razzelberry Card stock for the boxes and then embellished them with Bumblebee and Pumpkin Pie Card Stock. Everything on these cute little boxes are done with these awesome dies. You can get 2 boxes out of every full sheet of card stock, plus have left overs for the cute little cut outs that come with the die pack. They cover several of the Holidays.
The Glittered Organdy ribbon can be found on pg 160 AC.
Well, I am so thankful that everything went well with my eye surgery on Thursday and glad to be back creating cards again. I can actually see and the light is SOOOOOO bright now.
This card, I designed with the Home Together Dies, pg 26 Mini Catalog (MC). The DSP is Plaid Tidings, pg 57 MC, and the die used for the sentiment is from Peek A Hoot Dies, pg 62 MC. I used Night of Navy Ink on the sentiment, from Celebration Tidings stamp set, pg 58 MC along with the In-Color Enamel dots, pg 158 AC and the Magenta Madness ribbon.
After I designed this card, I realized that the Frosted paper which I use on the bottom of the card was discontinued, sorry for that. I splattered White Craft ink refill mixed with a tiny bit of water, with an old paint brush to resemble Snow on the background DSP. Hope you like it!
Please remember you can get any of these items on my website.
Dear friends, just a heads up that you will not get postings for a while because I am having eye surgery tomorrow and as soon as things are “Looking Good”, (little pun there), I will resume my postings. Until then, enjoy the new catalog and the new mini which you should have received by now.
This is another card created with the set “Nothing’s Better Than”, pg 91. This set is so awesome and yet so versatile. It has wonderful images plus loads of great sentiments. It has matching dies and can be bundled for a 10% discount. On this card I used the DSP, In Good Taste, pg 148, Whisper White Card Stock and Early Espresso CS for the base card. I used the Gilded Gems, pg 157, and the Dies Stitched So Sweetly, pg 179, for the sentiments. The inks I used were Ivory, Early Espresso and Cinnamon Cider Blends. Hope you like this and would love it if you shared your comments. All of these items can be purchased here.
I created this card from the set “Nothing’s Better Than”, pg 91. This set is so versatile, you can make so many different cards with it. Colors I used on this card were, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Seaside Spray, Magenta Madness, and Daffodil Delight Blends. You can bundle this set with the matching Dies and save 10% on the cost. Card Stock is Whisper White, Granny Apple Green and thick Whisper White for the base card. Rhinestones are colored with Dark Granny Apple Green Blends. I used the Stitched Leaves Dies from the New Mini.
This card was designed for this month’s SUO Challenge which required coloring. Images are from the stamp set, “Jar of Flowers” pg 10-13, Flower for every Season Suite.
So I colored these beautiful flowers with our Blends, Bumblebee, Old Olive, & Cinnamon Cider. The background if embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D, pg 185, and the sentiment is from Banner Year in the new Mini catalog. Card Stock used was Whisper White, Bumblebee, and Soft Seafoam embossed with the folder Seabed 3D, pg 185, and sponged with Mossy Meadow ink.
I love the new plaid DSP that is coming out in the new Mini. The colors are absolutely beautiful. Here I used the stamp set, Floral Essence, pg 118. I used Magenta Madness and Bumblebee ink to color the images, along with Misty Moonlight. These are all new In-colors. The base card is Seaside Spray and the lovely ribbon is Magenta Madness also. I cut the sentiment out with the new Dies from the Mini, Peek a Hoot Dies. You are going to love them.
This card was created using the set Bloom & Grow, pg 116. The Background is from the Embossing Folder Brick & Mortar 3D, pg 184, on whisper white CS. This is backed on Shaded Spruce CS. The sentiment is die cut from the Ornate Layers, pg 177. Colors I used on the image are Pretty Peacock and Shaded Spruce. Base Card is Thick Whisper White. I embellished the image with our Rhinestones, which I colored with Shaded Spruce Blends. You can get all these items from HERE.
Technique That I haven’t done in a while.
Now, I have to admit I did not buy the entire suite, “Flowers for every Season”, pgs 10-13. I did not get the stamp set Celebrate Sunflowers. However, I did buy the Coordinating Sunflower Dies, pg 175, to create this card. I am so wild about these dies that I may end up buying the stamp set just to be able to use all the dies in this set. The matching DSP is “Flowers for Every Season”. The sentiment which is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink is from Ornate Thanks, pg 66. Sunflower is cut with Whisper White CS, Bumblebee CS, and Cinnamon Cider, which is embossed with the embossing Folder, Tasteful Textile 3D, pg 185. Card Base is thick Whisper White.
