Crafting Up the Coast

I made a card with this set as soon as I purchased it and then forgot about it.  As I was looking for FLOWER type stamps I came across this set, and like a light bulb went off in my head, I knew exactly what I wanted to create.  Hope you like it.

Saw this on a video on Stampin Connection (website for Demonstrators only), and just had to try it.  It is done with our refills, water spritzers, and the round Mr Coffee type filter.  It was so much fun to see the colors blend.  Let me know if you want a class on this technique.

We made these at my camps and clubs this month.  Running this little velum bag through the Big shot with the embossing folder really sets this off.  Don’t you agree? What child (or adult for that matter) wouldn’t want to receive this filled with lots of treats?

At the Chatanooga Regional we used this Clockworks stamp set for our make & takes and I really liked the colors that they use so I created this card using the same colors.

This card makes me think of Fall.  I always hate to see Fall come as that means Winter is close behind.  For those of you that know me, you know I love it HOT and that I hate to see the summer end.  Although, based on how warm it has been and we are still running air, maybe that means we are going to have a longer summer and a shorter winter.  One can only hope!

We all received this stamp set free from the Chattanooga Regional along with the Christmas Simply Stampin Kit in the Holiday catalog.  It sure pays to be a demo.

To get a straight line for the fabric bow, I tore the ribbon (long side) instead of cutting with a scissors.  Little trick my Mama taught me years ago.

I embossed the cat with Versmark and clear embossing on Pumpkin Pie card stock and used the emboss resist technique with Elegant Eggplant ink.  I really like the way our little kitty turned out.  Again I stamped on the new cotton ribbon, and I just love the way it turned out!

This is one of the single stamps that are in the Holiday mini and fun to work with.   I used Early Expresso card stock in back of the image to bring the main image to the front.

Didn’t realize when I selected these two sets that they both started with the word “Perfectly”.  LOL  I don’t know which I like better, the DSP or the stamp set. Gorgeous paper and the stamp set is so versatile.  I hope SU decides to hold the stamp set over to the new catalog next year, especially because of the framelits that go so well with every stamp in the set.

For this card I used several of our embellishments from the new Holiday catalog.  Did you notice how I stamp the ribbon with one of the stamps in this set?  I also love the new ribbon slides which, btw, I used on card stock and not ribbon.  I sanded the Cordinations card stock with the sanding block to make the embossed background  pop.  So many possiblilites….

I love the elegant look of plain white and black and this new embossing folder really sets off this card.

Now the background on this card IS crumb cake but spritzed with Champagne Mist shimmer pain mixed with alcohol.  This background looks more like gold than the gold metallic card stock that I used on yesterday’s posting.  Go figure!

I love, love, love this designer series paper.  I can honestly say that every side is beautiful and useable.  What I mean by that, is usually in each DSP packet, I can always find at least one side that I never use because it doesn’t suit my taste.  However, all the patterns in this packet are wonderful.
