Water Bottle—Encircle a water bottle with a 2″-wide strip of Farmers Market Designers Series Paper (item # 138448).

Utensil Holder—Make a 2″ cut on either side of a Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags (item # 138315) and fold the flap down. Adhere a 2″-wide strip of Farmers Market Designers Series Paper to the front.

Cookie Holder—Take a 9″ x 9″ piece of Farmers Market Designer Series Paper and fold it in half; then take one corner and fold it straight across. Repeat this with the other corner. To complete the project, take the top flap and fold one piece down to create an open pocket (see the video).

I love this set.  It can be found on page 113 of the new AC.  You will be seeing this a lot on the internet because it is such a popular stamp set.  I used the sentiment from Project Life by SU, Tin of Cards set, page 110.  I love the font on this and this set contains a variety of sentiments.  I used 2 of our new incolors, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  In addition, on the background I used the new incolor DSP.

This set, Best Thoughts, can be found in the Hostess section of the new catalog.  It can only be used as Hostess Rewards and you cannot purchase this set.  It is absolutely my fav of all the hostess sets.  I used Melon Mambo on the flower and mossy meadow on the leaves.  The butterfly is Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey.  I highlighted this with our White uni-ball Gel Pen found on page 163 of the AC.  If you would like this set contact me HERE to find out how you can this FREE.

If you were a member of my Wednesday club you would have also made this card.  I love the new Bohemian DSP page 142 of the new AC.  The colors I used match the DSP and are Bermuday Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Delightful Dijon.  The stamp set is You’re So Sweet, found on page 57.  DSCN4404 This set also coordinates with the Mini Treat Thinliets Dies.  So Cool!  You can purchase this as a bundle and save 15%.

This was another card we made at Wednesday morning club.  I used the new DSP Neutrals collection and the stamp set, Guy Greetings found on page 98 of the new AC.  After I completed the card I felt it needed a little something more so I added the heart punched out from the Red Glimmer paper, page 149.  In addition, I used the Basic Black Bakers twine, page 158.  The file tab was created using the file tabs Edgelits on page 172.

I love the new neutrals DSP stack.  It is so awesome.  These are a couple of designs from that new item.  I love a black and white card.  It is so sophisticated.  I used the framelits from the Mini Treat bag.  The stamps set is Your’re so sweet found on page 57 of the new AC.  We made this at our Wednesday morning Club.

If you remember back a while ago I showed you cards that were swaps at a demo meeting.  Well one of the cards was a Make & Take provided by Pamela Subjek and when I made it up I ended up with 3 ps in Happy.  Must have been a senior moment.LOL  Anyway, here is the way it should have looked.  Sorry I messed up your beautiful card Pamela.

The So You Project Kit (item # 137951) is a fun way to display your photos. It’s great to put together as designed, but there are so many other ways to complete your album.

A new way to bring color to your pages is with Stampin’ Emboss Powder—and we have lots of fun colors! To add a few pops of color to my project, I stamped and embossed directly on the card stock and Designer Series Paper included with the kit using the So You Photopolymer Stamp Set (item # 137165).

hello

For another page, I created some pockets in my page protectors using the Handheld Stapler (item # 139083). This is a fun and simple way to add photos and use the embellishments in your kit.

good times

Don’t you just love the “Hello” woodcut, cork stars, sequins, and Basic Black Thick Baker’s Twine? We love that they are all neutral colors and would work well with any pictures you might add.

We’d love to see how you’re using the So You Project Kit. Leave us a link in the comment section if you would like to share!

28. May 2015 · Comments Off on Gift Bag Punch Board Fun · Categories: Cards
1

There’s a new punch board in town: the Gift Bag Punch Board (item # 135862-coming soon)! It was designed to create gift bags, but I think you’ll love its versatility as much as I do!With a little imagination, you’ll soon be putting together gift bags and even boxes of various sizes and shapes; you’ll create unique versions that are square-shaped or that feature flaps; you can even create pockets! The projects below only required a few sheets of Whisper White card stock (item # 100730), the Moments Like These Project Life Card Collection (Item # 138455- coming soon), and the Moments Like These Project Life Accessory Pack (item # 138454-coming soon).
2

Want to see the first box?

3

4

For this shape, I used the same base as I would for an “S” box (10″ x 7-1/2″). I used the punch on both sides of the sheet (keeping only one tab on top) to create the flap closure. I was able to quickly decorate this project with Designer Washi Tape and a Project Life card that I selected for its sentiment and contrasting color. I suggest using a small magnet or a Velcro® fastener for a clean look that’s both refined and feminine!

5

6

Creating this box is just as simple. Make notches as shown above and don’t score the gusset lines. Use the size M punch board width, leaving off the last tab (the one usually glued to close the bag). (The last section shown at right on the picture is the tab that will be slipped in to close the box.) Since I wanted a square box, the sheet is 6-inches-wide. You’ll have to modify the template shown in the picture by cutting off the rectangle and square in the upper and lower right corners before folding the sheet from left to right.

Punch a half-circle with a 1″ Circle Punch to create a notch in the front. And another Project Life card will do the trick to decorate!

7

8

The third template uses the folds from the “L “format. The pocket will then be large enough for a 3½”wide card to be slipped in. You only need three panels: a side, an “L” panel, and a side. No need to score the gusset lines on this project, either. My sheet measures 8″, but you can play with the measurements to create tall or narrow pockets.

To decorate, I used a small square specialty tag, which suits the size of the back flap perfectly!

I hope you have a lot of fun using your Gift Bag Punch Board. This tool will certainly be one of my favorites for upcoming demonstrations and it will surely become a staple for you, as well!

Cheers!

About every 2 months a group of Stampin’Up!© Demonstrators get together to exchange ideas, talk a little business and just have fun stamping or sharing information.  This is so that we can share with you, our customers, everything that is new in the SU paper making industry.
This time we met at my house and those that were in town and able to attend, brought card swaps to exchange with each other.   I cannot tell you who the designers of these cards are because these ladies do not sign the backs of their cards and my bad memory prevents me from guessing who they belong to.  However, with that being said, there are some really talented stampers in our group, Don’t you agree?

22. May 2015 · Comments Off on Project Life by Stampin Up! Birthday Mini Album · Categories: Cards

I love looking through photo albums. It´s a bit like time travel. I‘ve also been an avid scrapbooker for over eight years.

Project Life by Stampin‘ Up! makes scrapbooking easy; for one thing, I don´t have to cut large pieces of paper into smaller pieces. (Some scrapbookers feel near-physical pain when they have to cut paper into pieces.) 😀

Another bonus? Project Life by Stampin‘ Up! kits are already coordinated for you!

Plus, you can do more with Project Life by Stampin‘ Up!  than just capture memories. You can also use it to make cards, mini albums, and gifts.

Here’s a mini album I made for my daughter, Alyssa, to celebrate her eleventh birthday.

2

I found this idea months ago via Pinterest. I totally felt in love with it, and it´s really easy to do. All you need is a piece of 12″ x 12″ paper. Just fold it in half, then score it at 4″ x 8″. (I used the Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack.)

1

Then I stitched straight lines using my sewing machine—as you can see in the picture above.

This gives you three open sides—on the left, on the right, and on the top (in the middle).

4

I printed my photos at home—which lets me make the size I need for my projects.

To decorate my album, I used the Project Life by Stampin‘ Up! Moments Like These Card Collection and the Project Life by Stampin‘ Up! Moments Like These Accessory Pack.

They are so gorgeous! I really love all of the cards.

Here‘s the complete album:

Only the journaling is missing . . . because it‘s mostly private. 😉 I added it after taking photographs of the projects for the blog.

I think it‘s really worthwhile to do this album now; it will keep memories alive for a long time!

I really hope these projects inspire you. And don´t forget: years from now, when your kids are grown up, it will be so much fun to look back on the memories.

Okay this card has 12 layers and is not one that I want to make very often but I do like the way it turned out.  I cannot take credit for the composition of the layers and design because it was given to me at a private swap at the convention.  I liked it so much that I substituted card stock and DSP. I do not remember who created it but if you were in the same swap and know who designed this card, let me know so I can give her credit for this beautiful design.

Had to throw in a masculine card with the in colors to show that even though they are soft colors they can be used for men.  Here I used the set, Guy Greetings, page 41 in the OC, but soon to be carried over to the new AC.  I am so happy for that because we need more masculine sets for the men in our lives.
You will see that I have used this set many times lately because of Fathers day that will be coming soon.  I also used the set gorgeous grunge, page 165 in the AC, also to be carried over.  Very excited over that too, because it has become a core set for me.
