I used to make these baby memory cans for people that I worked with and sell them for $35.  It included the can with all the baby firsts, the poem, the can opener, matching pen and milestone cards for them to write on.  They told me they were always the “Hit of the baby shower”.

In addition, I included a 3″x3″ gift card and a very vanilla bracket to personalize the baby’s name on the top of the can.  However, the last 2 years I have turned this project over to my Daughter Maureen, who is also a demonstrator.  This memory can below is made by her.

You will also note that I made the little Tooth Fairy box out of our button and brads containers for an additional fee.  All of the stamps that I used for these were from 2000 and 2004 (all retired).  The tooth Fairy stamp was just a couple of years ago I believe but also retired.  These are all stamp sets that I could never part with.  They are so versatile.  I would love your comments about these memory cans.  Hugs, Patti

Mo and I just went to Tiffany’s baby shower and this is how I wrapped my gift for her baby.  I used Birds of a Feather DSP and the Primrose petal ribbon and inks.  Second picture is the 3″ x 3″ gift card I made to attach to the side of the bag with baby clothespins.  Hope you like it.  Hugs, Patti

This time I scrunched up the doilie and then hot glued the dyed flower trim with Pool party ink refills and rubbing alcohol.  Love, love love, these two colors together.

These are new products released in the Spring catalog on page 5.  Of course the small butterfly and the Sycamore Street DSP is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  You know the deal on that…..For every $50 you spend in product you get to select a free item from the SAB catalog.  The small butterfly punch and DSP are two of the items that could be yours FREE.  I made this card for our Downline/Sideline shoe box.  Lots of fun!

I cased this lovely little chocolate box from another demo, Martha Lucia Gomez on Stampin’ Connection.  She used a little wooden clothespin and I used the Crumb cake taffeta ribbon for closure.  Thank you Martha for the great video (even though it was in Spanish) that inspired me.  It fits perfectly, three (3) Chocolate Nuggets if you stand them on on ends, side by side.  Really awesome teacher gift for Valentine’s day.

This is one of our current specials that SU is promoting.  Isn’t it just super fantastic!  I love the colors of this DSP and I wanted to show you several of them at once so I did the half and half cards for you to get any idea of what is included in this bundle.  All of these products, stamps and DSP will be available until April 30th.  However, if you order the Bundle, you will not only save 20% but you will get the calypso Coral Bakers twine too! I used the SAB ribbon on both of these cards and that you can get FREE with a $50 purchase.  Ask me about how to get this!

Hello Stampers,
Well the McDermott house has really been hit hard with all kinds of sickness since we came back from Leadership.  I think Typhoid Mary was at the Orlando Convention Center based on what I read on the internet, we are not the only ones that came back sick.  Here is the Update!

  • Jack has flu symptoms, running 104 temp &  the Doctor said the flu test was negative.  However, he is not well, coughing and nose blowing thing, really in bad shape.
  • I tested positive for strep throat and also developed asthmatic bronchitis (which, btw, I have not had since my throat operation in 2005).  Thought I was clear from ever having to use an inhaler again.  So now on a stronger anti-biotic plus steroids and TWO inhalers.  Naturally, I am cancelling my camp this weekend, not because I am feeling bad, because actually I am starting to feel much better.  However, this house needs to be cleared out of any and all bacteria before anyone comes over.  I think you will thank me for that in the long run.

Fortunately, I can still use the Mac without transferring any germs so I will continue to post some of the projects that I had planned for the camp this weekend.  Hugs to you all and stay healthy!

Well, today I am a year older.  How fast the time flies.  I am not going to tell you how old I am but Jack and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this August.  Of course, I got married when I was 9…LOL not really, but I did get married young.

Paper crafting keeps me young (at heart) and gives me reason to wake up every day anxious to create and share with all my favorite people (stampers and scrappers).  I love to teach what I learn with stamps, paper, and ink, but the message that those three things bring is hope, creativity, self-worth, and friendships.  I feel blessed and lucky to have met some of my best friends through this wonderful world of paper crafting.

AND….in case you are wondering…….My best birthday present ever is YOU!

Hi Stampers,

Visiting my little granddaughter in TN for a few days but I did bring the lap top so I could continue to post card samples for you.

We arrived in the rain yesterday but today looks like it is going to be beautiful.  Headed out to see the Nashville Sound play today.  I bet you thought we were going to hear some country music right?  Wrong!  Nashville Sound is a baseball team.  You know we can’t go anywhere without Jack getting his baseball fix.

Enjoying our family.  More tomorrow!  Hugs, Patti
