Today is my oldest daughter’s birthday and my youngest daughter’s Wedding anniversary. Here we are on our Disney cruise last February.  We had so much fun we are going again this February.  One of the nights the theme is Pirate Night and we had to dress up like pirates.  It was so awesome!  Love my fam!DSCN3368

By the way, I used the journal Retro Fresh, found on page 190 of the AC to record all our memories & pictures from this trip.  This year I will be using Project Life by Stampin’Up!© to record all of this years Disney Cruise.  Sooooo easy!

I am so excited, I colored these beautiful flowers with my blendabilities and very soon I will be getting my new colors in the mail.  You can get these colors right now, they are available including the flesh tones and the colorless blender, along with the Memento Black ink.

This is another double page from our Disney Cruise.  The pic on the left is me climbing down the ladder on our Trek Dive.  We were about 30 feet under and it was so awesome.  The pic on the right was taken with an underwater camera and I am hoping to get better pictures of what we did on board from my daughter Amy.

The last time I came in contact with one of these, it was in Hawaai about 40 years ago.  We were on an outrigger off shore and we all had to go over the side so they could bail out the water from the boat (some people were not holding up their end of rowing). LOL
I thought I felt ground and that we were possibly on a sand bar, so I put my foot down and stepped on one.  We were actually over a coral reef.  The pain was incredible and I ended up in the emergency room.  Another guy in our group also ended up in there with me because he cut his foot on coral & bleeding (fortunately no sharks were near by), he was on the other side of the boat.
Needless to say, I was very careful handling this beautiful creature.  Unlike the black/blueish one I stepped on, this was almost all white and beige.

Here I am with my daughter Mo and her husband Chris right after our Snuba Drive in Cozumel.  It was so much fun.
I love the way this book is set up with beautiful pages that you don’t even need background papers.  I was able to get the Disney paper on-line and filled the entire book with stuff from Disney along with my photos.   Of course, you must have noticed that a lot of the embellishments are from page 19 of the Occasions catalog, Retro Fresh Stickers and tags.  Everything goes so well together.
I just know that Coastal Cabana color must have come from the Water in Western Carribbean.  LOL

This is Mo and she really got the hang of this quickly.  It took me a while but I finally caught on.  Here she is giving the “I’m okay” signal.  Naturally we all had to communicate with hand signals.  We were given the various signals before we did the dive.

Hah! I know we haven’t finished Christmas yet and here I am thinking Valentine’s Day.  Well that is what we do when we are demonstrators.  We have to think ahead so you will be ready for your family and friends when that holiday approaches.
Did I tell you how much I love what I do?  Well to make doing this even more fun, guess what I got to do yesterday?  I pre-ordered all my stuff from the new catty to be released on January 1st.  It is the BEST EVER!  No kidding, SU has outdone themselves once again.  I can’t show you the catty yet, but I can start creating projects made with the stuff in that book, so watch for it.  The heart below is from the Hostess set in the Holiday catty, page 39.

We celebrated our annual Christmas dinner with downline and sidelines last night at Zeus’ Restaurant in Mount Pleasant, where we reserve a private room.  We always do a swap, where everyone designs a card (anything but Christmas) and we exchange cards.  We make enough of that one card so everyone gets to take home a card.   That is one way we get to see everyone’s fresh takes on sets from the current catalogs and hopefully, pass them on to you.
We also do a Chinese exchange, that is a blast, demonstrate new techniques or old ones that we may have forgotten about, and have a grand time.  You can be part of this group too if you like getting together with others that love what they do and share what they like.  To join my team, contact me here.
This is my swap this year.  I used the single stamp, Fishin’ around, on page 58, and the sentiment is from Yippee Skippy on page 37.   Hope you like it!

Very soon (the time is just flying by) we will be ringing out the old and ringing in the new.  This set, Happy Hour, from the Big catalog can help you do that.  It really lends itself to celebrating, no matter what….. I used a color that I do not often use for this card, Wisteria Wonder.  I am not a big Purple fan but I do like the way it turned out on this project.  What do you think?

I am in the mood to start creating other cards besides Christmas and this is the best stamp set for water coloring.  I love the lined images.  So cute too with all the darling animals.  Storybook Friends can be found in the Big catalog on page 52.  I also used our Halloween DSP from the Holiday catalog, Witches Brew, page 21.

I was inspired to create this card from PCL.  Andrea did hers with an oval frame but I like the square frames for mine.  Perfect season of the year to make shaker cards.

The sentiment on this card is from the awesome set “Chalktalk”!  I used the feathers from the stamp set “Gently Falling” on page 65 in the big catalog and trimmed to give them that feathered look.  Easy peasey!   Feathers are very popular this year and I love how they look with our new incolors, don’t you?  Would love if you left me your comment at the bottom of this post.  I love hearing from y’all on what you think of my creations.

Have you seen our new 6X6 DSP card packs in the Holiday catalog?  We have 2 different ones this year filled with beautiful Christmas designed paper.   The one I used today on this card is found on page 22, called Season of Style.  I also used our beautiful Chevron ribbon.  I made the ornament with the Mosaic punch found on page 80 of the big catalog and the embossing folder is Petals a Plenty.  The sentiment is from Seasonal Sayings.

This card was made by cutting out our DSP Sweater Weather with the Big shot  Autumn Accents Bigz Die found on page 192 in the big catalog.  I then glued them on a 5 1/4″ X 4″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through the big shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  I used the stamps for the sentiment from the Truly Grateful set in the Holiday catalog on page 19, and finished off the sentiment with our absolutely COOL CANDY DOTS and brads found on page 171.  Don’t you love how it just sets off the entire card?

I made my own washi tape with our cool gingham wheel found on page 82 of the big catalog.  I used colors strawberry slush and coastal cabana.  The flowers are from the set Flower Shop found on page 94.  I punched the flowers out with the coordinating punch found on page 183.  You can get this as a bundle and save 15%.  I made the washi tape with our crepe paper and our Big Shot multipurpose Adhesive sheets (120805).  I will show a video on how to make your own washi tape.  Coming soon.  DSCN2991

I love the sentiment on this stamp set. It is on page 27 in the Holiday catalog.  I used the  marker technique on this and used Real Red,Black Stazon and Gumball Green.  I used the new embossing folder, Stylish Stripes, page 22 in the Holiday catalog.  In addition, I  used the little banner in the thinlets collection for “little”.

Can you believe I made this file folder pocket card with our new Envelope punch board?  You can do more with this board than make envelopes.  I will also be featuring some boxes made with this item.  Just in time for Christmas.  You can even round corners with it.  How awesome is that?  I used a ton of washi tape on this card.  Love it!

I love this stamp set because it reminds me of where I live and the marshes and beaches.  It also has very good sentiments for birthday, thank you and thinking of you.  See this on page 69 of the big catalog.

I combined this card with both stamp sets and used the framelits to cut out the bird and the flowers.  So easy when you have the right tools.  At the last minute I added the “Love you” and used the new Thinlits to punch it out.  Love these!

This stamp set found on page 33 of the new catalog, is comprised of wonderful sentiments that can all be punched out with the Artisan punch.  I created this cards, believe it or not, with odds and ends that I found on my desk when I decided to clear it off.  You can never tell what is under all the stuff until you try to clean up.  LOL

I wanted the top layer of this card to stand out from the main focal point so I put it on dimensionals.  The airplane and banner is also on dimensionals.  I love to use them, they add so much to a card.

I didn’t want the doily to overpower the card so I cut 1/4 of it off at the top so the ribbon could share the spotlight.
