This card was created using the SAB set, Avant Garden, page 5 of the SAB catalog. I cased this card from Sandi McIver and thank you Sandi for the inspiration. This technique is called “Black Magic” and I really love it. You first stamp the images in craft white ink. Once it is dry I added our White watercolor pencil and then added Melon Mambo, Dafodil Delight, and Old Olive pencils, page 24, OC. I outlined each image with a white gel pen.
Yesterday’s posting was from this same set. You would have rec’d this FREE along with your monthly subscription to Paper Pumpkin. Go ahead and try it. You can quit anytime and is only $20 a month which includes shipping. You get surprised every month with the goodies you get in your mail box.
I used Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, and Delightful Dijon on this Card. The embossed area was created with the new embossing folder, Floral Affection, page 195. I added the embellishments, Metal Rimmed Pearls, page 177. Whisper White Card stock on Heavy WW card base.
On this card I used both gold and copper embossing. I am so glad that SU came back with copper embossing powder. I used it on the pineapple. This set, Pop of Paradise, page 85 in the new AC is so adorable. I used the new in-color Flirty Flamingo on the bird, and the background I used the embossing folder, Brick Wall, page 195, in the new AC.
You are going to see a lot of this set, From Land to Sea, page 83 in the new AC. Because I live so close to the coast, I love using sea life on my cards. It feels like I am sending a bit of the ocean to the recipient and I can really relate to that. Here, I used water color paper and embossed the Jelly fish with white EP. I used the white gel pen to highlight the movement of water. I used one of our new stencils (Decorative masks) page 157 on the card base. Colors I used for water coloring the background was Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo and Night of Navy.
I love this stamp set, Market Fresh, page 116 in the new AC. Here I used Elegant Eggplant and Cucumber crush. I colored it on watercolor paper with the aqua painter and did the background in Pool Party. The border was made with the stamp set, Tin of cards, page 110. The background is embossed with Boho Chic, page 174. I used the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, page 149, to outline the image. I would love to hear what you think.
This stamp comes from a hostess set that you can earn if you host a workshop in your home or if you have a book party of $150, either on-line or in a club. It is so stinkin’ cute. I used Back to Black for the back ground and our new White Jute ribbon found on page 43 of the OC. So pretty. I used 2 different punches to cut out the little flower, Petite Petals and Itty Bitty punches, all found in the AC pages 219 through 222. Topped it off with a black Dot candy. I embossed the little worm with white craft ink and white Embossing powder and colored in with Blendabilities after coloring the image with the white chalk pen.
I sure used a lot of Glam on this card. Gold embossing, gold sequin trim along with the gold Fancy Foil DSP Vellum, gold foil card stock and metallic Gold card stock for the base card. WOW that’s a lot of GOLD!
The Stamp set is Cheerful Christmas found on page 15 of the Holiday catalog and the sentiment is from Endless Wishes on page 32. Do you remember last Christmas that Endless Wishes sold out in a matter of days. Well it was so popular that SU decided to bring it back and I am so glad they did. It is an awesome stamp set with beautiful fonts and images.
I ran this card through the Big Shot with the largest framelits die to make the card. I folded the uncut card stock in half and left part of the fold line away from the framelits cutting line, so that it would not completely cut the entire card. Now the card opens from the top.
