This set is so awesome!  You can find this set, Coffee Cafe’ on page 31 of the AC.  It has matching dies, Coffee Cups Framelits, page 213, matching DSP, Coffee Break, page188, Corrugated Elements, page 196.  It also has a Cardstock pack that matches all the colors in the DSP.

The best part: You can bundle the set and dies and receive a 10% discount.  This is going to be a fantastic item for the Holidays.  I can see this being used for SB gift cards, etc.  The coffee splatter is made with our new Embossing Paste, page 201.  I dyed the paste with Soft Suede ink.  The stencil, however, is not SU.   It is Tim Holz and I have had it a long time for use in my Art journals.

Card stock used is Very Vanilla over Soft Suede and based on Crumb Cake.

We all rec’d this set FREE at the OnStage in Savannah Georgia.  It was so much fun and I couldn’t wait to get home to start playing with this set and some of the embellishments.  The set, Wood Words, page 159 of the AC can be purchased with matching dies, Wood Crate framelits, page 212.  You get 10% off if you bundle them.  I used copper foil on this card and love the way it turned out.  In addition, I used the stitched Shaped framelits, page 214.  The ribbon, Copper Trim, can be found on page 199.  I stretched the ribbon and layered it behind the images.  I also used the copper metalic thread, 198 in back of the sentiment.  The back ground is embossed with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, page 210.

I used whisper White and layered these on Basic Black Card Stock, page 185.

I really love this incolor and will be sorry to see it go.  But we do have some beautiful new incolors to replace the outgoing ones.  Certainly makes it interesting every year.  Fortunately there were no changes to our core colors this year.
I used a mint macaron wash for the background on whisper White card stock and die cut the flowers and leaves with the Stylist Stems Framelits dies on page 42 of the OC.  I used the SAB glimmer paper in addition to the Mint macaron sheer ribbon found on page 178 in the AC.

I am really disappointed that this set, page 48 of the OC is retiring.  As far as I know, the Build it framelits dies have already been sold out.  Since this is such an awesome masculine set and it went over so well with just about all of our customers around the world, maybe SU will think of designing another set with matching dies in the future.  I am hoping that maybe they will decide to come back with this set.  Wouldn’t that be nice.  Wishful thinking!
Colors I used were Soft Suede, Smokey Slate and Crumb cake.  I added the Urban Underground Embellishments on page 47.

This was created with the stamp set Dragofly Dreams, page 26 in the OC.  I used black embossing powder and tempting turouoise ink.  I used the Metalic enamel shapes, page 177 of the AC.  One really great set because of the fantastic sentiments and will be very versatile because of it.  In addition, it has its own diecuts, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits on the same page and can be purchased as a bundle with a 10% discount.  This set will be held over, along with the thinlits to the new annual catalog.  However, the bundled discount will not be available after May 31st.

My youngest, Maureen Erin (Mo), will be 29 today and I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful and loving daughter.  She is also a Demonstrator and so much fun to be around.  My oldest daughter, Amy,  also a blessing, is a Demonstrator but she lives in TN and I do not get to see her as much.  However, we all try to plan SU conventions and on stage locals together.  We all love Stampin’up! © and look forward to doing all things that bring us closer together.  This is just one of the ways and it is so rewarding.

Ok, I am obsessed with this stamp set, Nailed it, page 48, oc.  I love the fact that there are die cuts that go with these stamps and I think I have made at least 5 or 6 different cards with them so far.  The possibilities are endless.  What I love about this set are all the embellishments, washi tape and DSP that you can use with it.  These are all listed on page 47 along with the lovely embossing folder, Hexagons Dynamic Textured impressions.  In addition, another stamp set in this same catalog, Urban District can also be combined to make dozens of masculine cards for Dad or the men in your life.  Save 10% by buying the bundle.

I cased this card from a You Tube video a while back and now I cannot find the name of the person who created it.  If any of you out there know who I owe this inspiration to, please let me know so I can give her credit.
Both the dies and stamp set can be purchased together to save a 10% discount.  I used silver foil, Island Indigo, and Whisper White Card stock.  In addition, I used A little Foxy DSP, page 174 in the AC.  The embellishments, Urban Underground, page 47, are from the OC.  This is the coolest bundle, I love everything that goes with it.  No problem making masculine cards with this set.

There are so many possibilites for this bundle.  IMHO, it is the BEST bundle in the entire OC.  I used Blushing Bride glimmer paper and the DSP is from the Playful Palette Paper stack, page 174 in the AC.

This has got to be one of my favs in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  I used the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing folder found on page 47 of the OC for the background by brayering the inside of the EF in Delightful Dijon ink.  I used the Stitched layering oval dies for the images and sentiment.  Whisper white CS and Delightful Dijon finished off the card.

I embossed the copper foil paper, page 47 in the HC, with the embossing folder, Pretty Paisleys, same page.  The DSP is Fruit Stand from the AC on page 173.  In addition, from the same catalog, page 194, I used a die from the Flourish Thinlits, on the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper, page 55 of the HC.  I added that to the sentiment, from the Set, First Sight page 46 of the AC.  The 3/8″ Ruched ribbon can be found on page 178, also in the AC.

I painted this tree, from Santa’s Sleigh, on water color paper and then cut it out with the matching Thinlits dies, page 24 of the HC.  Tha Santa was stamped from the set Cookie Cutter Christmas, also on water color paper, and cut out with the matching punch, page 6 of the HC.

I used the negative piece of the cut out tree as a stencil, and sponged the tree on the card front.  I then, popped up with dimensionals, the cut tree and laid it on top of the stenciled image.  The sentiment is from the set Reason for the season, page 34 of the AC.   I thought it needed a little something so I added the Brights Sequins, page 177 in the AC.  It sounds like a lot of work but it was pretty simple.  What do you think?

Don’t you just love this DSP, Candy Cane Lane, page 5 of the HC?  I love the colors red, white and brown together.  It is so country.  You can do so much with this DSP, like cutting the images out and using them separately on a card or a gingerbread house.  The trees are from a set that we carried over from last year, Peaceful Pines, page 28 of the AC with the matching dies, Perfect Pines, page 192, same catalog.  I white embossed the trees on Early Espresso Card Stock.  Fun card.

22. September 2016 · Comments Off on Winter some where but not here! · Categories: Cards · Tags: , , ,

Living in South Carolina, we hardly get any fall, let alone winter.  However, I am not a stranger to snow.  Growing up in Syracuse, NY, we had the most unbelievable winter snow storms that when I finally left for the sunny south, I said I didn’t care if I ever saw snow again.

We moved to Atlanta and saw snow the first year there and then we moved here and saw the first snow again the winter after Hurricane Hugo hit. Of course, down here it is gone almost as soon as it hits the ground.  Although, I must admit sometimes it gets so cold down here (30’s) that I feel I should maybe move farther south.  My blood has certainly thinned. LOL

The background of this card is on watercolor paper washed with, Pacific Point, Island Indigo, Tempting Turquoise and Pool party.  The deer and trees are cut with the Framelit dies Merry Tags found on page 21 of the HC.  The snow is made with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, page 175 of the AC.  The sentiment is from the set Snow place, also from the AC on page 30.  The snow is splattered with a paint brush covered with a mixture of Whisper White craft Ink and water.

I masked off this card on Whisper White CS to create the horizon.  Colors I used on this card were, Old Olive, Soft Suede, and Soft Sky.  The fence and pumpkins are cut from the Edgelits on page 52 in the HC.  The Wheat is made with shredding the burlap ribbon.  I finished off the card with Halloween Night’s Bakers Twine, page 51. Card base is Pumpkin Pie CS.

Well maybe not, but this is sure an old fashion train decorated for the Holidays.  The stamp set used on this card is from the Holiday catalog.    Christmas Wishes on page 22 is so versatile.  What’s great about this set is all the lovely images and great sentiments.  I will get a lot of different cards out of this set.

I stamped the train with black archival ink on watercolor paper. I made a palette with our inks and used the aqua painter to color it.  Although, the North Pole sign is not on watercolor paper, I did the same here trying not to wet the whisper white paper very much.

I cut out the window with Lots of Labels Framelits, page 193 of the AC and added our foam adhesive strips, page 182, to pop up the window.  In addition, I used Soft Sky on the front of the card.
