Here I covered a pizza box (carried over from the Holiday catalog – Mini pizza boxes (8) use product code 44645, $6.00) with the DSP Painted with Love, page 19 of the OC.  I put this on the sides and top of the box.  We made this at Camp on Saturday and everyone fell in love with this DSP.  I used the Ombre ribbon, page 198, in the AC.  Cut the heart out from our Gold foil paper, page 194, AC with our framelits, Sweet & Sassy page 214, AC.

Isn’t this the cutest little treat holder?  I created this with the SAB set, Tasty Trucks, page 12 of the SAB Catalog.  I used the colors Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight.  I fussy cut the image out and double backed it to make it stronger for both sides.  The center part to create the box is 1 1/2″ x 5 1/8″, scored at 1 1/2″ from each end (long side) and 1/4″ from each side (short side). There are several patterns to make this on You Tube, just put “Tasty Trucks Stampin’up” in the search box and you will find many.

If you spend $50 in merchandise you can get this set.  You can place an order on my site 24-7 but make sure it is before midnight tonight.

We made this 3D  item at Stamp Camp.  It was cut out with the  Window Box Thinlits dies, page 43 of the OC.  I used real red card stock and the doilies on page 51.  I cut whisper white card stock out with our new stitched layer dies and the sentiment is from the set Sealed with Love on page 15.  Hearts are punched out from red glimmer paper found on page 175 in the AC.

Hey Stampers, so sorry you have not heard from me in a few days.  I have been sick but back to my old former self now, and starting to post daily again.  Sure hope you missed me because I missed you!

This project was made using the Stamp set Sweet Home and the Thinlits, page 40 of the HC.  It is almost like the sample on the same page except that I changed it around a little.  The DSP is Halloween Night Specialty on page 51.  Love this suite.  You can get a discount on the bundle if you buy both the set and thinlits together.

From the HC, this 3D item is what we made at Camp on Saturday.  The DSP is Halloween Night Specialty paper and I cut the bag out with our Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, page 191 in the AC.  I used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch, page 186 to make the tag and decorated it with the stamps from Sweet Home.  The Bow is made from the new Halloween Night Baker’s Twine and fastened with the Gold Binder clips, page 177.  Imagine how cool this would be filled with candy for that special little Trick or Treater.

If you came to my camp yesterday, you would have made this as our 3D item for Dad, Son, Grandpa, Brother.   Several choices to pick from.  The sentiment is from this month’s Paper Pumpkin set.  The images are from the stamp set, Swirly Bird, page 152 in the new AC.  I used Real Red and Pacific Point on the muslin bags.  These bags are being discontinued so if you want them, make sure you purchase them before the end of the month.

My awesome Wednesday morning group wanted to make a diorama so I designed this one for them.  It was so much fun putting it all together.  I used the stamp sets, By the Tide, AC page 82 and From Land to Sea, page 83.  In addition, Wetlands, page 116, also AC.  The backround papers are from the DSP stack, Going Places, page 39 of the OC.  If ever they carried over a DSP I wish it would be this stack.  I have used it so much and I love it.  I also used the set Gorgeous Grunge from the AC, page 123 for the sand.  I used our Oval Framelits, page 173 AC, and the embellishments, bird and fencing (non SU) were miscellaneous chip board that I had hoarded a long time ago.

My Daughter and her family, from TN, were here for the long weekend and she found some confetti box cake mixes in the pantry and made us Valentine cookies with Stampin’Up’s© retired cookie stamps.  How clever is this girl, that she even remembered I still had them.  I used them just once myself and that was when they first came out with them.  They were a big hit!  I guess I will have to start using them more often.

Looking to do something different for Thanksgiving dinner?  Why not put these on every plate?  So easy to make with our DSP, Into The Woods, page 43 of the HC and the Square pillow box Thinlits die, page 41 HC.  These we made at last month’s camp and filled with Twix bars.  I used Daffodil Delight card stock and cut the leaves out with our Leaflets Framelits, page 172 of the AC.  We then sponged the leaves with Old Olive, Watermelon Wonder, and Tangelo Twist inks.  We used Wild Wasabi 1/2″ seam binding to tie the box closed and finished it off with White Bakers twine and Into the Woods wooden Elements.

Here is another sneak peek at the new SQUARE pillow box thinlits dies found in our new Holiday catalog.  What is special about this pillow box is that it is large enough to hold both candies and a gift card.   Perfect for giving this Holiday season.
I used Mint Macaron card stock for the box.  The window was cut out with dies included with the pillow box die.   You will soon be receiving your new HC, and when you do, you can find this die on page 41.  It has lots of really cool dies that can be used with the pillow die, as well as on cards, scrapbooks, and gift items, etc.

Last Thursday it was 82º and it was so beautiful outside.  I said “Thank You Lord for this beautiful weather.”  However, the next day the temp drop 40º but I know it’s not going to stay cold for very long.  Spring and Summer is my favorite times of the year.  I can’t take the cold weather….I need heat!
I guess that is why I just had to have this new Berry Basket Die, page 21 of the OC, the stamp set, From the Garden, page 20 with the matching Framelits.  I used the DSP Something Borrowed, page 42, Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock and the white gel pen.  This keeps the thought of spring around the corner.

16. February 2015 · Comments Off on Pretty Paper Beads · Categories: 3D Items

Did you ever roll paper beads with toothpicks when you were a kid? I just rediscovered this fun, little craft—and making them is kind of addictive.

Just wrap a long, triangular piece of paper around a wooden skewer until you have a bead. Adhere the tail-end of the paper to the bead using a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then cover the bead using a thin coat of Mod Podge. Let your bead dry.

After making a few dozen of these little cuties I started to think of Easter eggs . . . and one of our new occasions catalog stamp sets—For Peep’s Sake, item # 138557—came to mind.
1
I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch (item # 137416) on the top and bottom of this Easter favor to create fancy edges.

2

3To make the beads, I used Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (item # 137784),Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (item # 138633), and the Rich Razzleberry designs from the Brights Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks(item # 130134).

Beginning at the top of a sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, score every inch on one side; on the opposite side, begin 1/2″ from the top and score every inch. Draw diagonal lines between the staggered score lines to create triangles.

4

5
The beads don’t have to be rolled up perfectly; their irregular look is part of their charm!

6
When my friend, Bonnie, saw my paper beads drying, she said that they reminded her of an insect collection. My immediate thought was: butterflies!

7

8There are many ways to make paper beads from Designer Series Paper. Just do an Internet search for “paper bead templates” and you’ll find plenty! P.S. If you use elastic cord to thread your beads, put a dot of Crystal Effects (item # 101055) on the knot and allow it to dry. That will help it stay secure.

Have fun!

We made this little bag with the new Thinlits Mini Treat Bag found on page 9 of the OC.  I used the DSP Typeset from the AC and the in-color wide bakers twine also from that catalog.  The stamp is colored with Stampin’write markers, topped off with one of our lovely embellishments, Something borrowed.  The hearts down the side of the bag are cut out with the same thinlits dies above, a combination of very versatile thinlits come in this package, not just the mini bag.  Unbelievable buy for the money.

This is a little gift bag made with our new Mini Treat Bag framelits.  You can find them on page 9 of the Spring Occasions catalog!  I made this with our gorgeous wrapping paper found in the Holiday catty on page 10.  This craft paper is so pretty and it’s reversible so you can stamp the other side if you prefer.

I made this little box with the new Gift Box Punch Board found on page 5 of the Holiday catalog.  You can amke small to very large boxes with this tool.  So easy to use and you do not need any glue.  Isn’t that awesome?  This little box I did not use glue but on larger boxes they suggest a little snail or sticky strip.  These can be used for name cards, filled with little treats, for your Thanksgiving Day table.  You can also change the design and use them for the Christmas table.  So versatile.  SU has a video showing how to assemble the box, go here to see.

I cased this ornament from Ilina Crouse, a very creative demonstrator.  I did change mine around a little but the main idea is from Ilina.  This, believe it or not, was not as much work as it looks.  I guess the hardest time I had with it was keeping it glued together long enough so the glitter and flakes stayed put.  I apologize for the reflection of light on the top of the bulb but that is almost impossible to remove while photographing.  I think I could have had better luck if I shot the picture outside in daylight.  The backgound in the bulb is stamped with the set White Christmas.

Again, I used my iphone to take pictures of these magnets.  We had to buy a new dishwasher and the new one was Stainless steel inside and out and we could never tell if it was dirty or clean because we both load and unload the washer.  Well it was driving me nuts!  So, I needed to improvise, instead of going out and buying a dirty and clean button, I made these with our retired framelits (Cannery Set).  I used Flashback DSP and linen thread to decorate them and used the adhesive letters from Project Life BY SU Everyday kit to add the words.
I also made one for my Water Aerobics instructor as she and I have the exact same Dishwashers and that was her only complaint also.  See, stamps aren’t just for cards and memory keeping.

These are all over the net.  This is my take on CIAB.  I made it the same way we used to make the 2-4-6-8 box.  I watched several videos on this and they are all different.  Some with some intricate measurements that I wasn’t having any luck reproducing.  I loved how the box came out but I am not in a hurry to make another one right away. I think I want to wait until the new in-colors come out and then it will be like trying something new.

To make, cut the card stock at 2″ X 8 1/2″ and score from each end at 3 1/2″.  Punch both ends with the Scallop Tag Topper punch and thread ribbon through holes.  Decorate front of treat holders with something Easter.  Wrap the nuggets with DSP cut at 1″ X 3″.  Adhere with glue dots.  Easy peasy!
